4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Encryption
End-to-End Encryption: Your journal entries are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before being stored
Encryption Keys: Your encryption key is derived from your recovery phrase and stored securely on your device
In Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS encryption
4.2 Cloud Storage
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States. Firebase maintains industry-standard security certifications.
4.3 Local Storage Option
You may choose to store entries locally on your device only, without cloud synchronization.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Export
You can view all your journal entries within the App at any time.
5.2 Deletion
Delete Individual Entries: Remove any entry at any time from the App
Delete Account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings
Data Removal: Upon account deletion, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days
5.3 Opt-Out Options
AI Features: You can use voice-first mode without AI conversations
Cloud Sync: You can choose local-only storage
Analytics: You can disable optional diagnostic data sharing in Settings
5.4 Data Portability
You can export your journal entries from the App.
6. Data Retention
Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
Deleted Accounts: Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
Anonymized Data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes
7. Children's Privacy
Blurb is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
8. International Users
If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
